Kumi Bruce, the CEO of Cape Coast Montessori School has said that Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye a.k.a Strika of ‘Beasts of No Nation’ is a chronic weed smoker and that he is academically poor. He told Asaasewura Kwabena Santana on Elimina-based Benya FM that Strika who is class five pupil of the school has ran out of the school on several occasions, with the most recent one being the fourth time. Although he noted that Strika is calm, he said his wee-smoking attitude makes it difficult for the school authorities to control him. strika-weed-smoker “He keeps running away from school. He ran from school ahead of last term’s examination. The last time we found him was at ‘wee’ smokers ghetto, and he even asked us to give him ‘wee’ in one instance,” Mr Kumi Bruce told Asaasewura on ‘Celebrities Parliament’ show. In the same interview, Mr Bruce further revealed that Strika is academically poor despite all the support services available at his disposal. “Even though Strika is given extra tuition at school, but the truth is that he still has difficulty with his studies,” Mr Kumi revealed. The CEO was asked if it’ll be possible to take Strika back as a student. In answering he said Strika already signed a bond of good behaviour (not to run away from school again) but since he has broken that, the board of the school would have to meet to take a decision on his comeback.
